Bodybuilding Health

Our health is one of the most important things we possess, without it we are unable to function on a basic day to day basis let alone fulfil our sporting goals.

Any serious competitive or recreational Bodybuilder is continually working at the extremes of their bodies capabilities. The training can be brutal and sustained, the meal contents and patterns are often unnatural and the supplements and ergogenic aids used are often extreme and excessive.

Physical Frontiers was formed to help you achieve your genetic potential as an athlete and to work with you in an attempt to maintain optimum health.

Services available include:
●   Full blood screen
●   ECG
●   Xray
●   MRI & CAT scans
●   Ultrasound scan
●   Professional/confidential medical advice and consultation on any
     medical condition
●   Full health screen - your body’s MOT

At the very least we strongly recommend that every athlete under our control has at least 1 blood per year.

This includes:
●   Renal function
●   Cardiac function
●   Red blood cell health
●   White blood cell health
●   Blood platelet’s
●   Thyroid function
●   Blood cholesterol
●   Blood triglycerides
●   Blood glucose

Any problems, or potential problems, once identified can be addressed.
This can often be something as simple as adjustments to the diet.

Its simple to book a general health check, to make an appointment

Dean McTernan & Paul Ehren
UKBFF British Finals 17th/18th October 2009
MR. HERCULES 25th October 2009

Both Dean and Paul competed at the UKBFF British Finals and Scott Horton’s Hercules show the week after.

After 12 months preparation and 12 weeks pre contest diet we were, once again, very pleased with the condition we obtained. We will leave it to more unbiased commentators to judge the validity of the results but we are very confident in stating that we were both 2 of the best prepared, conditioned and healthy athletes at the show.

Final results; Dean placed 4th in the Super Heavyweights (over 100kg) at the British finals whilst Paul took 2nd place in the Seniors (over 50’s), for the second year running. We both went on to win our classes at the Mr. Hercules (Super Heavies for Dean and the Open category for Paul).

The Photographs on the site will hopefully give a decent representation of the shape we were both in. View gallery »

At the time of writing (January 2010) we have both taken some time out during December and completed our medical checks to ensure that everything below the surface is working at optimum levels.

We have now commenced our off season training and even at this early stage every training, dietary and supplement schedule that we use is chosen with the 2010 finals in mind to ensure that we can once again be challenging for major honours at this years shows.

For any advice on off season or pre-contest training, diets, supplementation or any of the health checks we recommend please contact us »
