Our health is one of the most important things we possess, without it we are unable to function on a basic day to day basis let alone fulfil our sporting goals.

As Bodybuilders the way our body functions will dictate how hard we can train, If and how the training will stimulate growth, how our recovery and the foods and supplements we use act to facilitate this growth and how the physiological changes we are encouraging will look.

Every major body system we possess - Cardio Vascular, Respiratory, Hormonal, Neurological, Gastro intestinal - etc has a major impact on us as athletes yet so few of us takes the time to ensure that we have no developing problems or symptoms that may point to potential future problems.

Any serious competitive or recreational Bodybuilder is continually working at the extremes of their bodies capabilities. The training can be brutal and sustained, the meal contents and patterns are often un natural and the supplements and ergogenic aids used are often extreme and excessive.

Physical Frontiers was formed to help you achieve your genetic potential as an athlete and to work with you in an attempt to maintain optimum health.

At the very least we strongly recommend that every athlete under our control has at least 1 blood per year.

This includes:

● Renal function: liver and Kidney function and health
● Cardiac function: blood sodium and potassium levels
● Red blood cell health
● White blood cell health
● Blood platelet’s: how viscous or “sticky” the blood is
● Thyroid function
● Blood cholesterol: inc HDL & LDL %
● Blood triglycerides: level of fatty acids
● Blood glucose: level of blood sugar

Any problems, or potential problems, once identified can be addressed.
This can often be something as simple as adjustments to the diet.

An example of this would be abnormal Cholesterol levels, dietary manipulation can redress the balance to desired levels within weeks whereas if the condition went undiagnosed and untreated there is a risk of Cardio Vascular problems occurring in the future.
